Review of the Financial Reporting Act

The Minister of Commerce today released the discussion document on Part II of the Review of the Financial Reporting Act, which has implications for all community and voluntary organisations.

The document is available from the Ministry's website at:
http://www.med.govt.nz/buslt/bus_pol/bus_law/corporate-governance/financial-reporting/.

Hard copies will follow in the near future.  Alternatively, if you click "What's New" at the right of the Ministry's homepage at
http://www.med.govt.nz it should be available under the heading "17 November."

A summary of the reporting requirements for charitable entities registered with the proposed Charities Commission will be available from the Charities Commission Preparatory Unit at http://www.charities.govt.nz. This should be available shortly. It will also be e-mailed to all persons on the Preparatory Unit's mailing list. Finally, many thanks to everyone who has assisted in getting this discussion document ready for its release.
