An hour with Joseph Stiglitz
Nobel Prize Winner and John F. Kennedy Memorial Fellow
"Globalization was supposed to bring unprecedented benefits to all. Yet, curiously, it has come to be vilified both in the developed and the developing world." Stiglitz is one of the world's leading public intellectuals. He is widely acknowledged as an inventive, original and provocative thinker. An esteemed academic, Stiglitz writes on a diverse range of topics including intellectual property rights, the environment, trade, debt and natural resources.
Perhaps best known as a keen observer and critic of globalisation, Stiglitz has published the widely acclaimed Globalization and Its Discontents (2002) and its companion volume Making Globalization Work (2006). Together these two volumes offer not only a critique of
globalisation but also a way forward.
Join Joseph Stiglitz in conversation with Rod Oram for an hour of insightful and lively discussion.
